The short answer

Yes, We Survey in Washington County, by Schedule.

Washington County isn’t part of our regular day-to-day service area, and we’d rather tell you that up front. We take work there on planned trips, and we’ve completed surveys in St. George, Santa Clara, Hurricane, Leeds and Enterprise, including an ALTA/NSPS survey, a boundary, topo and utility survey, and a 2026 utility site survey.

Every boundary survey is stamped by a Utah PLS and filed with the Washington County Surveyor, and every job is quoted as a fixed fee with travel shown separately.

Probably not

A local surveyor may be better for

  • A single residential lot that needs corners marked this week.
  • Fence-line or setback questions on a small lot, where our travel would be a large share of the cost.
  • Repeat site visits during construction, like daily staking.

Washington County Survey Questions, Answered.

Do you survey in Washington County?

Yes, by schedule. Our office is in Nephi, about three and a half hours from St. George, so we take Washington County work on planned trips rather than on short notice. We've completed surveys in St. George, Santa Clara, Hurricane, Leeds and Enterprise.

Should I hire you or a local St. George surveyor?

For a quick boundary on a single residential lot with a tight deadline, a surveyor based in St. George will usually be faster and cost less in travel. We're a good fit for ALTA surveys, larger sites, owners with property in several Utah counties, and work tied to projects we're already doing elsewhere in the state.

How much does a survey cost in Washington County?

Our survey fees follow our statewide ranges: boundary surveys from $1,025, topographic surveys $1,500 to $4,500, and ALTA/NSPS surveys $3,000 to $8,000 or more. Travel to Washington County is significant and is shown as its own line on the fixed-fee quote.

How long does it take?

It depends on the next scheduled trip. Once fieldwork is done, boundary surveys usually take one to three weeks and ALTA surveys three to six weeks. Tell us your deadline when you ask for a quote and we'll say honestly whether we can meet it.

Is my survey filed with Washington County?

Yes. Utah law requires a boundary survey map to be filed with the county surveyor within 90 days of establishing or re-establishing a boundary (Utah Code § 17-73-504). For Washington County that's in St. George, the county seat.

Can you draft house plans for a St. George home?

Yes. House plan drafting is done in our office, so distance doesn't matter. Send your sketches and measurements.
